Dr. Winn is an thought leader in health economics and outcomes research. He is an associate professor of pharmaceutical & health economics at the University of Illinois at Chicago. His work focuses on pharmacoepidemiology, pharmacoeconomics, and examining how social determinants of health impact the trajectory of diseases. He has more than 75 scientific publications with innovative findings on social determinants of health, surgical outcomes, oncology, endocrinology, and geriatrics. He earned an MPP from The University of Chicago and a Ph.D. in Health Policy and Management from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Previously, he was a visiting professor at the Oxford University Health Economic Research Centre.
